Much like its big brother in JLT, McGettigan's at Souk Madinat is a proudly Irish sports bar - instantly familiar to Brits and Americans alike with its Anglo/American menu, sports theme and homely bar feel.

The interior is a tasteful mix of sharp design and homely feel - it's modern but very welcoming, the leather chairs and constant whirr of sports on the TV should make any expats feel right at home. The menu is good, a updated take on 'pub grub' with classic dishes from both sides of the pond. The vibe is super buzzy and friendly, and the staff are very welcoming at helpful. This may not be the place for a professional business lunch, but for friends and dates this is a great shout.
