Set amidst the illustrious Arabian-inspired surroundings of Souk Al Bahar, Kanpai is a predominantly Japanese affair, with some different Asian flavours mixed in.
The decor is decidedly oriental, with it's dark woods and earthy colours. Whilst there may be a slight mish-mash of oriental styles going on, the food is great - full of authentic flavours and great quality. The ambience (helped along by the resident DJ) is bustling and fun, and the staff are very helpful. The location is a bonus too, a stones throw away from the Dubai Mall. For fans of oriental food this is a worthwhile visit.
