The brainchild of chef Jose Avillez, Tasca is a modern Portuguese eatery, offering a select menu of authentic yet contemporary dishes for its Friday Brunch. The menu encompasses meat, fish and vegetarian options, so there's enough to keep most happy.

The interior here is excellent, with high windows offering views of both the city and the sea, depending on where you're sitting. The food is top notch, everything you'd hope for from such an acclaimed chef. Portuguese may not be the most widely known cuisine around, but this food is delicious and is very worth getting to know. The atmosphere is vibrant, yet manages an intimate feel, and the staff are fantastic. This may be a newcomer brunch, but with food this good it'll be sticking around.
